Here's one to make you think...

Ancient ruins, with stone quarries, staircases, bore holes, and mysterious petroglyphs... a hundred feet under the waves off the coast of Japan.

The last time ocean levels were low enough to bring these ruins above sea level was during the ice age, 12 thousand years ago, which suggests that these predate human civilization by, oh, 7000 years. Or that we're hopelessly ignorant about our own ancient history.
